SOLID POLYESTER TOW
Virgin & Recycled Polyester Tow
clover® manufactures and supplies virgin and recycled solid polyester tow through its established production network, with customer-specific colours developed against an approved shade reference.
Available filament finenesses are 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12 and 15 dpf, with total tow linear density from 120 to 240 ktex.
Standard or high tenacity, high or low elongation, and standard or low shrinkage options are matched to the buyer’s conversion process and end-use requirements. Clover manages specification, shade approval, production coordination and supply through delivery
Polyester Tow Specification Matrix
Virgin and recycled solid polyester tow grades are developed against an agreed technical specification, shade reference, performance profile and packing requirement.
Product: Solid polyester tow
Raw material: Virgin PET or recycled PET
Filament fineness (dpf): 1.2 | 1.4 | 1.5 | 3 | 4 | 6 | 9 | 12 | 15
Total tow linear density: 120–240 ktex
Colour range: Customer-specific colours and shades, subject to shade approval and order requirements
Performance options: Standard or high tenacity; high or low elongation; standard or low shrinkage
Packing: 250–1,000 kg plastic-strapped bales, based on buyer requirements and shipment planning
Each order is confirmed against the agreed grade, colour reference, performance targets, packing format and destination requirements.
Certification documentation may include OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and Global Recycled Standard (GRS), subject to the relevant product, production facility, certificate scope and validity. Additional automotive and application-specific documentation is confirmed by grade.

Filament fineness
1.2–15 dpf
Nine available filament fineness options, selected according to conversion and end-use requirements.
Total tow density
120–240 ktex
Total tow linear density selected against the buyer’s processing specification.
Bale weight
250–1,000 kg
Plastic-strapped bale formats arranged according to buyer requirements and shipment planning.

Customer-Specific Colour Development
clover® manages customer-specific shade development through its established production network, from the buyer’s reference through approval and order release.
• Virgin and recycled solid polyester tow options
• Colours developed against an approved shade reference
• Grade, packing and production requirements confirmed before order release
Shade tolerance, minimum order quantity, approval method and production schedule are confirmed individually for each order.

Performance Options for Conversion
Tow properties are selected according to the buyer’s conversion method and end-use requirements.
• Standard or high tenacity
• High or low elongation
• Standard or low shrinkage
Technical parameters are confirmed against the requested dpf, total ktex, colour and processing requirements before order approval.
clover®'s solid polyester tow is developed for yarn producers, tow-to-top converters and woollen textile manufacturers requiring controlled filament fineness, total tow density, colour and mechanical performance.
APPLICATIONS
Where Polyester Tow Performs

Hand-Knitting Yarns
Solid polyester tow for conversion into hand-knitting yarns requiring controlled fineness, colour and bulk.

Fancy & Effect Yarns
Customer-specific colours and performance options for fancy, effect and decorative yarn production.

Polyester Tops Production
Tow specifications developed for conversion into polyester tops for downstream spinning and blending.

Woollen Spinning
Spinning mill feedstock for blended and 100% polyester yarns — consistent denier and cut length for rotor and ring lines.

Worsted Spinning
Controlled filament fineness and total tow density for tow-to-top conversion and worsted yarn production.

Woollen & Blended Fabrics
Polyester input for yarns used in woollen and blended fabrics requiring repeatable colour and mechanical performance.

Specification, Production & Supply — Managed by Clover
A successful polyester tow grade requires more than matching dpf and total ktex. Colour, tenacity, elongation, shrinkage, packing and conversion behaviour must be aligned with the buyer’s process.
clover® manages these requirements through its established production network, coordinating technical definition, shade approval, production, documentation and delivery.
Each order is structured around an agreed specification and approval process, creating a clear basis for trials, repeat production and long-term supply.
